Dispute IQ ("Dispute IQ," "we," "us," or "our") provides a self-service, subscription-based online portal that helps you access your credit report information, select items to dispute, and generate customized dispute letters. By using disputeiq.com or subscribing to the Dispute IQ portal (the "Service"), you agree to the practices described in this policy.
- Information We Collect: Name, phone number, and email address. Account and billing information when you subscribe. Credit report data and account information you upload or connect to the portal, and the items you select to dispute. Any information you enter into the portal to generate a dispute letter. Also standard automatic web analytics (browser type, device type, IP address, general location) collected through cookies. We collect only what the Service needs to let you review your credit file and generate dispute letters.
- How We Use It: to create and maintain your subscriber account, display your credit report information and negative items inside the portal, generate dispute letters based on the items you select, process your subscription payment and communicate with you about your account, improve and maintain the Service, and detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security issues, or misuse of the Service.
- We Do Not Sell Your Information. Dispute IQ does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, including your credit file or account details, to any third party for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We disclose information only to service providers who work on our behalf (payment processing, credit-data access, account hosting), when legally required (law, subpoena, court order, or valid legal process), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dispute IQ, our subscribers, or the public.
- Safeguards: reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of credit file and financial information, including encryption of sensitive data in transit, access controls, and limiting internal access to what's needed to operate the Service. No system connected to the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
- Cookies, Tracking, and Do Not Track: standard analytics cookies, which can be disabled in your browser settings; some features may not function as intended if you do. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
- Children's Privacy: not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18.
- Links to Other Sites: not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites, including credit bureaus we may link to.
- Retention: we retain your account, subscription, and billing information for as long as your subscription is active and for approximately three (3) years after cancellation for recordkeeping purposes. We retain credit report data and dispute-history information you've uploaded for up to thirteen (13) months after your subscription ends, unless you request earlier deletion or a longer period is required by law.
- Your Rights: contact us to see what information we have on file, correct inaccurate information, request deletion (subject to records we're legally required to retain), or cancel your subscription.
- Changes: updates posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
